How Pickup Works
Three steps, and most of the work is ours.
- Check what we accept. Review our donation criteria before you schedule. It saves you a wasted appointment and saves our truck a wasted trip.
- Schedule online. Pick a date and tell us what you have. The form takes about three minutes to fill out.
- We pick it up. Have the items ready and easy to reach on pickup day. Our crew loads them and leaves your tax receipt before they go.
- You get a tax receipt. Upon receiving your donation, we will provide a receipt that itemizes what you gave us.
Business & Bulk Inventory Donations
Builders, contractors, retailers, hotels, and property managers donate to us regularly. If you’re clearing a jobsite, closing out a model home, or replacing a whole floor of furniture, we can arrange a larger pickup and provide the documentation you’ll need for your records. Tell us what you have.

Questions About Donating to ReStore
These are the questions we get asked the most. Have a question that’s not here? Call the ReStore and ask for the donations team.
Yes. There’s no fee to have us pick up your donation. We cover the truck, the fuel, and the crew, because reselling what you donate is worth more to us than a pickup charge.
We pick up throughout Springfield. If you’re near the edge of our service area, schedule anyway and we’ll tell you before we commit to a date.
It depends on how full the schedule is and where you are. We recommend you start the online form to see what times are available.
Our driver leaves one with you at pickup, and the donation door hands them out for drop-offs. The receipt lists what you donated. Assigning a dollar value is up to you, since we can’t appraise donations.
Leave the items in a garage, on a covered porch, or somewhere our crew can reach them, and tell us where when you schedule. We’ll leave your receipt with the items.
No. We can’t take mattresses, box springs, foundations, or sofa beds. Your local waste authority or a mattress recycler is usually the best option for those.
It has to be clean, complete, and in working order. Small scuffs are fine. Rips, stains, strong odors, mold, and missing parts are not, because we can’t put those on the sales floor. Check out donation criteria for more details.
Our volunteers clean it, price it, and put it out on the ReStore sales floor, usually within a week or two of arriving. Someone buys it at a price they can afford, and the money funds Habitat Springfield’s building and repair work in Springfield.
